As I’m writing this I’m currently eating the last of my kids Halloween Candy and wishing there were more M&M’s and Snicker’s in the mix. I have been getting some serious chocolate cravings lately and I’m not holding back. Speaking of cravings, Z and I recently tried chicken and waffles for the first time (ok a few months ago) and we are OBSESSED. We ask for extra maple syrup on the side and oh my goodness!! The sweet and savory combo is too good to be trueeee!! I wore this outfit for our latest chicken and waffle lunch date a few days back.
I may or may not be crushing on denim hard these days. I mean, can’t remember the last time I wore denim from head to toe.. but I’m in love with this look! The red biker jacket ties the whole look nicely without it looking like denim overkill. And by overkill I’m taking about Britney Spears and Justin Timberlake’s epic double denim look circa 2001. Which I could probably only pull off as a Halloween costume. I love this denim shirt from H&M, it’s so soft and such good quality too. It’s one of my go to shirts for everyday battle and love that it’s nursing friendly.
This red biker jacket is hands down one of my favourite pieces in my entire closet. It’s a little gem that was passed down from my mom literally from aaages ago and its still holding it’s shape and colour so perfectly. I remeber seeing it in her closet thinking I could never wear that, (it reminded me of a Micheal Jackson jacket, lol) but a few years later I claimed it as mine forever. Aren’t we all this way with something in our mom’s closet? The jacket works as an alternative to the classic black leather jacket that adds instant style to any outfit. Moto jackets are so in right now and the crazier the colour and the more intricate the zippers the better. Found a small piece of dupioni red silk laying around and used it to accessorize my neck to complete the look. A red bandana works too :) I thought I had one but guess I threw it out thinking it was so 1994. Boo! Now I need one ASAP.
Hope everyone has a great week!
