The most wonderful time of year is even more wonderful when you’re a parent. I remember each of my baby’s first Christmas distinctly. What we did, where we were and even what baby wore on Christmas day! This year we’re celebrating Zoey’s first Christmas and adding little touches to it to make it one we’ll always remember. I hope this post inspires you to create some of your own traditions with your baby as well!
- Christmas PJs
Nothing amps up the morning snuggle fest like a pair of cozy Christmas pajamas. This year we got matching Pj’s for the whole family and we’ve been wearing them all month all long! Sure, your baby can only wear them for a month, but most designs are unisex and you can hand them down to the next kid. Festive jammies also make great Christmas gifts.
- Create a Photo Op
Even though it may not seem like it, your babe is at an ideal age to get some great snaps. Sure, it may be hard to get Zoey to look and smile straight into the camera, but at least she can’t run away! And the best part? She can’t pull off that sweet holiday outfit I bought for her first Christmas. Shoot when you get as much natural light as possible. I love taking pictures of her in her Moses basket because I can get creative with what goes around it while babe stays put in one place. You can add textures and seasonally appropriate props to create beautiful photos!
- Make (Or Buy) A Personalized Ornament: You can go simple and just put their name and the year or you could also add their photo and include their birth, weight & height. This year I got each of my girls their own ornament. I look forward to getting them a new one each year so when they’re older they have a box full of Chrismas memories to take to their new home.
